I commit to . . .
1. Talk with Jesus throughout the day, as needed, pouring my heart out to Him as to a Friend
2. Read God’s Word daily, taking seriously His calls to repentance and reformation, and believing His promises
3. Read the writings of Ellen G. White, God’s messenger to the remnant, take her words seriously, and incorporate her guidance into my life
4. Share my love for Jesus with others, always being available to truly listen, and to speak and act according to the Holy Spirit’s leading
5. Reflect people’s attention to God and not to absorb it, dressing modestly and responsibly, avoiding the wearing of jewelry, and avoiding extravagance and display
6. Keep the Sabbath holy: growing my relationship with God and actively seeking Him on His day, abstaining from buying, selling, and gainful employment, and not viewing or participating in sports programs or activities
7. Eat and drink only those things which promote health, keeping the body temple clean for the Holy Spirit, avoiding refined sugar, dairy products, animal products, caffeine, drugs and alcohol, and exercising regularly
8. View and participate only in activities that do not promote pride and the carnal instincts of the fallen nature, allowing only that which is pure, true, noble, and just, and avoiding violence and selfish competition
9. Guard the thoughts, so that lust, envy, jealousy, hatred, resentment, and conceit are not entertained
10. Stand up for the truth and for righteousness when the opportunity arises
